Haven't Given It Up

Happy Birthday Leos!
Wow! Completely missed July. And before you ask, no, the guys in the white shirts haven't caught up with me--yet. Mercury, ruling planet of both Gemini and Virgo was in retrograde most of July. Since Mercury rules short-range travel and communications, some of us were hit pretty hard in the "getting stuff done, and done right department". OK, excuses, excuses, but that's the way it is sometimes. At any rate, the Stars aren't standing still. MoonTrekking will continue to bring you news from the Stars. Have a great month, ~Paula

This Month in the Stars

Happy Birthday Gemini and Cancer. And a Big Congratulations to the Class of 2006
This month in the Stars is likely to be a little more exciting than last. By month's end all three outer planets, Uranus (ruler of Aquarius), Neptune (ruler of Pisces), and Pluto (ruler of Scorpio) will be in retrograde, appear to be moving backwards. This configuration has been known to portend serious shakeups in world events, and of course we've recently seen the influence of Pluto's retrograde in Sagittarius, the sign associated with Nature. As if that's not enough, there are some stressful aspects, angles, between planets. As usual, the Stars provide us with the balance of more calming effects. But still, let's all hope and pray for the best and do the best we can in our own circles. Sun, ruler of Leo will be in Gemini until the 21st, when it moves to Cancer . Sun will be at an optimum angle with Neptune, in Aquarius from now through about the 27th. This could be a good time to absorb ideas, grasp intuitive matters, and be less judgmental of others. Remember that Neptune's in retrograde, so take extra care not to be too easy with others. Examine any new ideas carefully before jumping on the bandwagon. Unfortunately, things are never so simple. From the 10th through about the 24th, Sun will be opposing Pluto, the Planet of Power, now in Sagittarius. This is a very difficult aspect, portending aggression and defiance. Let's strive to keep it in balance and benefit from Sun's gentle aspect with Neptune during this time. World leaders, are you listening? Mercury, ruler of communications, short-range travel, and the signs, Gemini and Virgo moved to Cancer a few days ago, and will remain there until the 29th, when it moves to Leo. Mercury is cutting us some slack this month--whew! All month long, Mercury will be at a very optimum angle with Venus. This aspect portends diplomacy and tact in speech as well as more easygoing attitudes--nice balance for Pluto's power trips, hey? From the 10th through the 16th, Mercury will be at an optimum angle with Uranus, in Pisces. This aspect can portend flashes of insight, especially in humanitarian matters. But watch out! Uranus, the planet of rebellion, and Mercury's higher octave, goes into retrograde on the 19th. This could push Mercury's cool logic into some unexpected directions--expect the unexpected! Venus, rules personal relationships, money matters, the physical appetites, and the signs Taurus and Libra. Venus will be in Taurus most of the month, then moves to Gemini about the 23rd. But watch out. From about the 3rd through the 11th, Venus will oppose Jupiter, in Scorpio. This is not a good aspect for personal relationships. Be careful of tendencies towards over-emotional behavior and an exaggerated desire for luxuries. As if that's not enough, from the 1st through the 9th, Venus will be at a very uncomfortable angle with Saturn, in Leo. We may feel restricted in relationships and find it hard to socialize. At least Mercury and Venus are giving us a little help! Mars, planet of aggression, self-projection and energy, ruler of Aries moves to Leo around the 4th. Now the fun really starts! On the one hand, Mars will combine its high energies with Saturn for most of the month portending high energy to work smart--sounds good, hey. But be careful of tendencies towards anger and hard feelings. On the other hand, Mars will be at an uncomfortable angle with Jupiter for most of the month. Moderation will not come easily; our hard work could go completely unnoticed. Again, thank goodness for the Mercury-Venus aspect all month! Jupiter, planet of higher learning, growth and understanding, ruler of Sagittarius will be in Scorpio until about 1 December. Jupiter in Scorpio may portend economic growth and serious tendencies to dig for economic opportunities. Don't we hope! Jupiter will be at a favorable angle with Uranus for most of the month. Could we possibly expect some cutting edge progress in economic areas? Again, expect the unexpected! Saturn, the planet of restrictions and responsibilities, rules Capricorn will be in Leo for the next 2+ years. Leo is the sign of ultimate self-esteem and Saturn tears down this quality--not such a pretty picture. Saturn in Leo gives a strong need for achievement and recognition, yet creative expression is restricted. And here we are, back to our good friend Saturn, the taskmaster. At least he's still moving straight, and giving us some help directing our energies. Thanks Big Guy, we need all the help we can get. Uranus, the innovative, wildcard of the planets (Uranus rules Aquarius and is associated with High Tech.) will be in Pisces until March 2011. Remember, Pisces represents the subconscious, seeing what's going on under the surface. These next few years could bring aside, Uranus was in Pisces at the time of the birth of the modern state of Iraq. It will be interesting to see the results of this influence over the next few years. Neptune, the planet of faith, religion, spirituality, dreams and wishes will be in Aquarius until April 2011. Neptune, more than any of the planets, represents the spirit of the times. Neptune also represents the broader economic currents. Therefore, in keeping with the Aquarian Spirit, expect to see economic reform or revolution, a new spirit, a new vibration as well as scientific and artistic evolutions--sounds a bit nostalgic, doesn't it? Pluto, the planet of power, is in Sagittarius until 2008. Pluto In Sagittarius is absolute no nonsense about the right and moral thing to do--even if it hurts like hell and is totally unpleasant--absolute and ultimate Karma. Pluto will be at a favorable aspect with Saturn, in Leo, later this year. Depending on other influences, Pluto's power tripping could be put to some really good use. OK, that's it for now. Have a Great Month and may the Stars always be gracious to you, ~Paula

Finishing Up The Month

Hello Everyone, That Grand Trine was nice, wasn't it? Didn't you feel a surge of energy? Oh well, all good things must pass; time marches on as do the Stars. Sun moves into Gemini on the 21st. Sun's change of signs will be accompanied by a very pleasant aspect with Saturn, in Leo. This aspect portends greater depths of understanding one's potential as well as others--great time to go about working towards long-term goals. However, lest we get too confident, Neptune in Aquarius goes into retrograde, will appear to be moving backwards, on the 22nd. Keep an eye out, especially in dealing with the wider circle of associates. Someone out there is likely to try to pull the wool over your eyes, a wool that's likely to be 50% polyester! Onward & Upward, ~Paula

Have a Great Week!

Hello Everyone, This week, the Stars will indeed shine graciously upon us. For the second time this year, we have aGrand Trine in the Water Signs; Mars in Cancer, Jupiter in Scorpio, and Uranus in Pisces. Each planet is at an optimum angle with the other two, giving us some serious easement in emotional areas of our lives as well as possible inspiration in economic areas. Physical energies should be high to get things done with ease, maybe even realize some of those deep-seated dreams and with good judgment to boot! Mars, Jupiter and Uranus will trine from today through the 15th. Let's go for it! All the very best, ~Paula

This Month in the Stars

Happy Birthday Taurus and Gemini.
This month in the Stars we should experience some relief from pressures that have been pushing us in the past. Saturn is finally out of retrograde (appeared to be moving backwards), letting us breathe a little more easily. Mercury's not due for another retrograde until July. However, Pluto, the planet of power, is still in retrograde until early September--not exactly a calming influence. Oh well, the stars can be gracious, but they rarely give us a bed of roses. Sun, ruler of Leo will be in Taurus until the 21st, when it moves to Gemini. From month's beginning until about the 11th, Sun will be at an uncomfortable angle with Jupiter, in Scorpio. Beware of over optimism. Look twice before entering into any grandiose schemes. To further complicate matters, from the 4th through the 18th, Sun will also be at an uncomfortable angle with Neptune, in Aquarius. We may find it a challenge to see and deal with reality. Best not to jump into any schemes now. Let's think things through clearly before heeding the words of any would-be charmers. Sun will be at a very opportune angle with Saturn, in Leo by the 22nd through month's end, facilitating deeper understanding and orderliness. Best to hold off on major decisions for now. From about the 13th through the 24th, Sun will combine its energies with Mercury, making for sound mental energies and commitment to opinions; best to trust our judgment during this time. Mercury, ruler of communications, short-range travel, and the signs, Gemini and Virgo is really on the move this month, starting the month in Aries, moving to Taurus by the second week, and on to Gemini by week four. By month's end, Mercury will be at a very uncomfortable angle with Pluto, in Sagittarius. Watch your speech, there could be a tendency towards harshness and impatience. Take a deep breath and activate that sound mental energy. Venus, ruler of personal relationships, money matters, the physical appetites, and the signs Taurus and Libra
Venus moves from Pisces to Aries about the 4th of the month. May could well bring more than spring flowers with Venus in Aries. Enthusiasm should abound, and we may discover an awakening of the romantic side. From the 22nd through month's end, Venus will be at a very optimum angle with Pluto, the planet of power, in Sagittarius. Relationships, romantic an otherwise should be right on the mark in integrity and sincerity.

Mars, planet of aggression, self-projection and energy, ruler ofAries
Mars will remain in Cancer all month. This placement portends strong emotions, sensitivity, and loyalty to family and home. From the first through the 15th, the stars will indeed be gracious to us. Mars is at a very optimum angle with both Jupiter, in Scorpio and Uranus, in Pisces. Mental and physical energies should be high to get things done with minimum of effort. Originality and creativity should also be at high levels, but practicality is not likely to suffer. Nice way to start the month!

Jupiter, planet of higher learning, growth and understanding, ruler of Sagittarius will be in Scorpio until about 1 December. Jupiter in Scorpio may portend economic growth and serious tendencies to dig for economic opportunities. Don't we hope with Jupiter's favorable aspect with Mars and Uranus!

At least he's moving straight now, whew! During the last week of the month, Saturn will give us a bit more respite in a favorable angle with Sun, in Gemini, portending ease in relationships with others as well as integrity. Sounds good to me!

Pluto will be at a favorable aspect with Saturn, in Leo, probably around mid 2006.

Have a Great Month and may the stars be gracious to you,

~Paula

This Month in the Stars

Happy Birthday, Aries and Taurus This month in the Stars is no different than any other--a mixed bag, some great some not so great. Sun is now in Aries and will move to Taurus on the 21st. But of course, that's not the whole story, read on to see all the other influences the Stars have in store for us this month. Sun Sun, ruler of Leo will be in Aries until the 21st. From the 5th through the 15th, Sun will be at a very opportune angle with Neptune, in Aquarius. This aspect (angle) portends a good understanding of social responsibility and obligation. Sensitivity and positive thinking should also be facilitated. Not a bad way to start the Zodiac's New Year. Mercury, ruler of communications, short-range travel, and the signs, Gemini and Virgo is still in Pisces moving to Aries around mid-month. Mercury came out of retrograde (appeared to be going backwards) on the 25th--whew! I'd like to promise smooth sailing for this month, but it's literally not in the Stars. Mercury will be at a stressful angle with Mars, in Gemini for most of the month. We'll need to make a special effort to be patient. Let's take care not to jump to conclusions and fly off the handle--easy does it! Venus, ruler of Taurus and Libra moves from Aquarius to Pisces on the 6th. From about the 11th through the 25th, Venus will combine energies with Uranus, also in Pisces. Be careful of sudden attractions and possible temptations to get involved in financial schemes. Best to put off major decisions regarding finances or the love of your life. From the 26th through month's end, Venus will be at a stressful angle with Pluto, in Sagittarius. Pluto is also now in retrograde (appears to be going backwards) until early September portending upsets and power struggles. So for these 5 days or so, let's be especially on our guard--upsets and upheavals may be lurking. Mars, planet of aggression, self-projection and energy, ruler ofAries,.is in Gemini until the 15th, when it moves to Cancer. Mars will also be at a stressful angle with Pluto for most of the month. Be on the lookout for defiant and aggressive attitudes. Looks like we'll all have to concentrate on patience and compromise this month! Jupiter, planet of higher learning, growth and understanding, ruler of Sagittarius will be in Scorpio until about 1 December. Jupiter in Scorpio may portend economic growth and serious tendencies to dig for economic opportunities. Now that you've read the good news, there's a bit of a shadow on our hopes and dreams this month. Jupiter will still be at a stressful angle with Neptune, in Aquarius all month. This aspect may portend exaggeration, confusion, impractical behavior and deception. Watch out, especially in money matters! But take a deep breath, Leo. Saturn will come out of retrograde on the 5th. Even if you have felt restricted in you creative endeavors, you'll feel some respite after Saturn has straightened! Pluto will be at a favorable aspect with Saturn, in Leo, probably around mid 2006. See MoonTrek for Moon's latest influences.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, Everyone, Sun entered Aries on the 21st, beginning the New Zodiac Year--time for all of us to step out, blaze new trails and start afresh. Happy Birthday Aries! Your ruling planet, Mars will be at an optimum angle with Venus through month's end--good time to celebrate with your friends; everyone will love you! And, may the Stars continue to be gracious to you all year long leading you to health, success and happiness. As usual, it's a mixed bag with the Stars. Mercury (now in Pisces), ruler of Gemini and Virgo comes out of retrograde on the 25th. We should all feel the relief and easement in our communications with others as well as those short trips around town. However, lest we get too comfortable, on the 29, Pluto, Scorpio's ruling planet, Pluto goes into retrograde (appearance of going backwards) in Sagittarius. On that same day, Mars, co-ruler of Scorpio, will be opposing (about 180 degrees) Pluto. This is anything but a peaceful aspect. Be on the lookout for aggressive tendencies, power trips, and conflicts. By 22 April, this unpleasant aspect will have passed. Let's all try to keep a lid on things! Onward and Upward, ~Paula

The Stars Can Indeed Be Gracious

Greetings Everyone, This month in the Stars is indeed interesting--some unpleasant tensions, but as I'm always saying, the Stars can indeed be gracious. Mars, planet of aggression, self-projection and energy, ruler of Aries,.is in Gemini all month--lots of mental energy, but not always so practical. From the 15th until month's end, Mars will be at a very opportune angle with Neptune (in Aquarius), Pisces' ruling planet. This aspect portends successful integration of dreams and action! The physical and subconscious are in harmony and sensitivities are heightened to the emotional setting of any given situations. Now could be a great time for us to assess what we really want to achieve in life and go about realizing our deepest dreams; take a close and honest look at our associates--there's a good chance that our hunches will be accurate and we'll act in the best interest of all! Onward and Upwards ~Paula

Grand Water Trine & International Women's Day

Hello, hello, Hopefully the Stars are shining graciously upon you. If not, take heart, they soon will. This week is a very interesting week for us astrology buffs. On Thursday, 9 March 2006, we'll have a Grand Trine in the Water Signs. That simply means that 3 different planets will each be in one of the three water signs at roughly the same angle--each about 120 degrees from the other two. In general, a Trine brings about ease and comfort, a Grand Trine even more so. As stated above, Thursday's Grand Trine is in the Water Signs, Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. The Water Signs are commonly associated with the emotions. But they are also the seat of determination, self-reliance, and the ability to dig beneath the surface to find out what one needs to know to get ahead--not surprising that Bill Gates is a Scorpio. Sun, in super-sensitive Pisces will trine Moon, in her natural sign, Cancer. This aspect portends balance between emotions and will. Responsibilities are handled comfortably, and leadership abilities are enhanced. Sun will also trine Jupiter in strong willed Scorpio. Jupiter in Scorpio is already a lucky sign for economic growth and expansion, but the trine with a Pisces Sun brings about an added dimension of integrity, with a tendency towards generosity to boot! The final aspect of the Water Grand Trine will be between Moon and Jupiter. This aspect portends fairness, easement in dealing with crisis, and devotion to higher causes. Wow! If nothing great happens on this day, someone born during this Grand Water Trine will hopefully accomplish something of real significance in the next generation. One final note of interest. International Women's Day will be observed on Wednesday, 8 March 2006. Isn't it interesting that the observance of a Women's Day occurs as the Stars are moving into a Grand Water (the feminine element) Trine?--Shades of the DaVinci Code? Onward and Upward, ~Paula

This Month in the Stars

This Month in the Stars: Happy Birthday, Pisces and Aries. Starting to feel a little spring fever? The first day of spring is less than a month away--none too soon! The astrological year is rapidly coming to an end and will begin anew on 21 March, when Sun enters Aries. Sun Sun, ruler of Leo is in Pisces now and moves to Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac, on 21 March. On 9 March, Sun will be at a very favorable angle with both Moon, in Cancer, her natural home and Jupiter, in Scorpio. This aspect is known as a Grand Trine, when three planets are at about 120 degrees from the other two. This time the Grand Trine will be in the water signs, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. Sun trines Jupiter in Scorpio and Moon in Cancer; and Moon trines Jupiter as well. For about 24 hours, this Grand Trine should facilitate a good balance between emotions and will. Creative energy, confidence, and relationships among people will all come with greater ease--great day to be involved in civic affairs. Let's hope the Grand Trine will influence our leaders in a positive way! Mercury, ruler of communications, short-range travel, and the signs, Gemini and Virgo is also in Pisces. But watch out! From the 2nd through the 25th, Mercury will be in retrograde, appearing to be moving backwards. Expect to experience miscommunications and delays. Mercury in Pisces does not facilitate logical straightforward reasoning, rather psychic, non-verbal perception. So Mercury in retrograde in Pisces could cause some serious mishaps in our day-to-day lives. Be particularily careful on those short road trips. Attention could wander from mundane tasks. For the first two weeks of the month, Mercury will be at a stressful angle with Pluto, in Sagittarius--careful not to get on any power trips--they could just blow up right in your face. Thank goodness for that Grand Trine. Venus, ruler of personal relationships, money matters, the physical appetites, and the signs Taurus and Libra starts the month in Capricorn and moves to Aquarius about the 7th. Poor Venus is on a roller coaster this month. Venus in Aquarius should normally facilitate farsightedness and independence in relationships and financial affairs, but from about the 2nd through the 16th she'll be at a very stressful angle with Saturn, in Leo frustrating harmony and security. However, from about the 15th through month's end, Venus will be at a very favorable angle with Mars, in Gemini. Good vibes will be back in the picture--great time for PR! Mars, planet of aggression, self-projection and energy, ruler ofAries,.is in Gemini all month. Mental energies are at their highest but practicality may be lacking. Fortunately, Mars will be at a very favorable angel with Saturn, in Leo. This aspect channels those high energies to practical action. But remember, Saturn is in retrograde, appears to be moving backwards. So, be prepared for frustrations and restrictions! About the 10th of the month, Mars will enter another very favorable aspect with Venus, in Aquarius. This aspect portends ease in getting along with others--even those really difficult types. Again, another great aspect for those in PR and politics. This aspect will continue for the rest of the month. The Stars can indeed be gracious! Jupiter will be at a stressful angle with Neptune, in Aquarius all month. This aspect may portend exaggeration, confusion, impractical behavior and deception. Watch out, especially in money matters! That great scheme may not be all that it's cracked up to be. And check out those hard luck stories before trying to save a poor soul. Pluto will be at a favorable aspect with Saturn, in Leo, probably around mid 2006. Have a Great Month, ~Paula

War & Peace in the Stars

Hello Everyone, I hope the Stars are shining graciously on you. Just remember that they're always on the move for better or worse. The other day, I happened to chat with a friend who is very knowledgeable about current events and world politics. He's always studied the issues in depth and really digs beneath the surface of all the politicians' word noise and newspaper headlines. He feels certain that the US involvement in Iraq will escalate to other Middle Eastern countries by summer. Ouch! Hopefully he's wrong! I, on the other hand, am not so politically astute. I was a decent history student; and it's always seemed to me that politics is the same old game year after year--money, power and control. So, I took a look at the astrological picture to see what the influences will be in the near future--especially the planet Mars. Mind you, I do not and cannot predict the future about anything. Prediction of the future is not within the scope of astrology. However, we can look back in history and note events that have occurred during certain planetary placements in the Zodiac Signs as well as aspects, angles formed with other planets, and retrogrades. What exactly will happen under a given influence is anyone's guess. (See my post on Pluto, Planet of Power) Mars is associated with self-projection, war and aggression on a larger scale. This year, Mars started out in Taurus, and by year's end will have moved to Sagittarius. Of course, the Red's Planet's influences are different from sign to sign. In Taurus Mars'physical energy is subdued. But don't be fooled. What's lacking in physical stamina is made up for by endurance and determination when pursuing material goals. Emotions are often held in check, but a major blowup is always possible. Mars will remain in Taurus until about the 19th of February, then moves into Gemini. Mars in Geminiis a completely different story! Mental and verbal energies are at their highest here, but erratic. All that placid determination that's been building up in Taurus may be poised to come out in a very stinging manner while Mars is in Gemini. But that's not the worst of it. Mars will oppose be about 180 degrees from, Pluto in Sagittarius. This aspect portends a strong drive to gain power over others. Compromise does not come easily. Strong alliances can be formed and rifts can be caused in alliances. Haven't heard enough? Pluto goes into retrograde, will appear to be going backwards, on 29 March. So any power struggle could get really nasty! And by 19 June, all three of the outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will be in retrograde. If I'm not mistaken, this was the case at the outbreak of both World Wars. G-d help us all! But before you go into a panic, and start booking flights for Tahiti. Remember that the above influences don’t guarantee war. The upcoming astrological influences are just that--influences. And in human affairs, nothing can be totally predictable. A wise person knows the stars, a fool is ruled by them. Onward and Upward, ~Paula

Home, Hearth, and the Wild Card

Hello Everyone, Hope the Stars are shining graciously on you. Here's the first post of a few re: Moon's monthly Trek around the Zodiac and her aspects with othe planets. As we've said before, Moon makes a complete orbit around the Zodiac every month, some months a little more. This month, Moon begins and ends in Pisces. However, Moon, ruler of the sign Cancer does not exist in isolation. She aspects, makes angles with, all other planets. And the influence of aspects among planets in all the different signs is the real fun of astrology! This month, let's look at how Moon will influence us as she aspects with Uranus, wildcard of the planets, ruler of Aquarius. Uranus is in Pisces until March 2011--so Pisces can expect some real high times the next few years. Moon's monthly aspects with Uranus largely affect Cancer, Aquarius, and Pisces, since Uranus is in Pisces now. However, as most things in astrology, there's always more to the story: other signs will be affected as well. 4th-5th-Moon in Taurus Good days for Cancer, Aquarius, Pisces and Taurus. Meet new people, others are likely to respond to you positively, take advantage of opportunities, and solve everyday problems with ease. 6th-7th, Moon in Gemini Hang on to your hats, Cancer, Aquarius, Pisces and Gemini. For these couple of days, you may find your moods swinging all over the place and patience short with others. Best to work quietly these days. 8th-9th-Moon in Cancer Cancer, Aquarius, Pisces, somebody trying to push you around? These should be good days to fight back and not make enemies. If you've been trying to figure out a tough problem, these should be excellent days to attack it. 14th-15th-Moon in Virgo Cancer, Aquarius, Pisces and Virgo. These may not be good days on the domestic scene. You may feel that others are trying to dominate or manipulate you. Careful not to fly off the handle! 19th-20th-Moon in Scorpio Cancer, Aquarius, Pisces and Scorpio, again good days to stand your ground. The Scorpio sting's not going to take anything lying down. These should be good days to really get to the root of matters and implement solutions fast. 21st-22nd-Moon in Sagittarius This is the same type of aspect that we saw on the 6th and 7th of the month when Moon was in Gemini. This time Moon is in Sagittarius, so mood swings and short tempers will be even more extreme. Cancer, Aquarius, Pisces and Sagittarius, mind your tongues and watch the temper. Best to concentrate on quiet, loner activities. 23rd-24th-Moon in Capricorn Good days for Cancer, Aquarius, Pisces and Capricorn. Meet new people, others are likely to respond to you positively, take advantage of opportunities, and solve everyday problems with ease Capricorn, these days could be particularily refreshing for you. 27th-28-Moon, in Pisces Moon has come full circle, back in Pisces and will combine energies with Uranus for a couple of days. Cancer, Aquarius, and Pisces will experience strong intuition. Pisces, the sign of strong intuition, will get a particularily heavy dose. Break away from the dull routine on these days and treat yourselves to an interesting adventure.

After reading this post, we can all see that it's no wonder Life can be so complicated--and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Never a dull moment in the Stars.

Onward & Upward,

~Paula

Age Of Aquarius? Well, not quite.

Hello everyone, and a Happy Birthday wish to you Aquarians! Hope that all is well and the stars are being gracious to you. If they're not, don't worry, they're always on the move. Sun is in your sign now, Aquarius; you should be feeling a renewal of strength and will. I'd like to promise you an Age of Aquarius now, but sorry it's not exactly in the Stars at the moment. How did the song go…"When the Moon is in the Seventh House…" OK, every month Moon visits the Seventh House, Libra, so at least we have that much going for us. This month Moon will be in Libra around the 15th and 16th of the month. Moon in Libra aspects (makes a nice angle with) the Aquarius Sun, facilitating a healthy balance of emotion and will. Good days for you Aquarians to handle responsibility and make decisions. Now what was the other part of the song "…and Jupiter aligns with Mars…"? Jupiter and Mars will not conjunct until November/December. More about that later. Aquarians born during the first 10 days or so of the sign may feel restricted and lack physical vigor. Life's just more of a challenge now. Not to worry; these feelings are due in large part to Saturn's retrograde (appears to be moving backwards) in Leo, opposite your Sun. Saturn will be in Leo for the next 2 years or so, hence, not so comfortable for Aquarians, at least the retrograde will end 5 April 2006. But hey, Aquarians, you're the far seeing ones--you can handle it! Aquarians born during the last part of the sign have some extra help for some time to come from Pluto, the planet of Power, in Sagittarius. Pluto in Sagittarius is at a very optimum aspect for Aquarians born in the latter part of the sign--you're likely to feel the strength and will to accomplish just about anything you set out to do, with leadership abilities to boot! So, give a helping hand to your fellow Aquarians born early in the sign! Strength to us all, Onward and Upward, ~Paula

MoonSigns

MoonSigns Hello again, Hope the New Year is off to a good start for you. Before we know it, we'll be getting out the Valentines. Of course, the Stars will always keep us on our toes in their constant motion around the heavens. Since Moon makes a complete orbit around the Zodiac in less than a month, she's constantly influencing our natal charts (map of the position of the planets at one's time and place of birth), as well as aspecting (forming angles with) the other planets that are constantly orbiting, the Zodiac. Moon rules the emotions, the soul, so to speak. So the Moon Sign (sign Moon was in at time and place of one's birth) is a significant factor in a natal chart. Since Moon can start out in any of the 12 signs at month's beginning, we'll just start with Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac, and discuss the characteristics of Moon in each sign. An Aries Moon produces openness to new ideas and self-motivation. There is a strong underlying drive for success; feelings tend to compete with the ego much of the time. An Aries Moon can make for quick decisions, trusting sense perceptions, and acting immediately without reflection. Moon in Aries can be very comfortable for Sun Signs Aries, Aquarius, Gemini, Sagittarius, and Leo; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Libra, Capricorn, and Cancer. A Taurus Moon emphasizes the material side of life, and emotions are centered on the comforts and possessions in life. Moon in Taurus is very comfortable for Sun Signs Taurus, Pisces, Cancer, Capricorn, and Virgo; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Scorpio, Aquarius, and Leo. Moon in Gemini makes for mobility, freedom, unwillingness to be tied down or restricted by emotional demands. Moon in Gemini is very comfortable for Sun Signs Gemini, Aries, Aquarius, Leo, Libra; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Sagittarius, Pisces, and Virgo A Cancer Moon gives a strong drive for recognition and acceptance; has a strong love for home and family; staunchly protective of personal security. Moon in Cancer is very comfortable for Sun Signs Cancer, Taurus, Pisces, Virgo, and Scorpio; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Capricorn, Aries, and Libra In Leo, Moon produces emotions that are carefree, gay, and often pleasure-seeking. A Leo Moon commands respect. Reactions are straight-forward and usually dignified, garnering esteem and responsibility. Moon in Leo is very comfortable for Sun Signs Leo, Gemini, Aries, Libra, and Sagittarius; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Aquarius, Taurus, and Scorpio. A Virgo Moon generates a definite reserve in expression, and a personality that is often critical and analytical. Moon in Virgo is very comfortable for Sun Signs Virgo, Cancer, Taurus, Scorpio, and Capricorn; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Pisces, Gemini, and Sagittarius. A Libra Moon gives a sense of understanding, tolerance, and gentleness. The Libra Moon is adaptable, shunning disputes and disorder. Moon in Libra is very comfortable for Sun Signs Libra, Leo, Gemini, Sagittarius, and Aquarius; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn. A Scorpio Moon produces emotional responses that are intense, secretive, and passionate. Emotions are powerful, can seek to control, and are determined to accomplish goals. Moon in Scorpio is very comfortable for Sun Signs Scorpio, Virgo, Cancer, Capricorn and Pisces; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius. A Sagittarius Moon is restless, wants to always feel free to roam and wander. Emotions are jubilant, enthusiastic and highly optimistic. Moon in Sagittarius can be comfortable for Sun Signs Sagittarius, Libra, Aquarius, Leo, and Aries; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Gemini, Virgo, and Pisces. A Capricorn Moon is determined, steadfast and reliable. Although emotions are reserved and sensitive to slights, the Capricorn best demonstrates love and care by being steady, dependable and providing for financial needs. Moon in Capricorn can be comfortable for Sun Signs Capricorn, Scorpio, Pisces; Virgo, and Taurus; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Cancer, Libra and Aries. An Aquarius Moon produces reactions which are progressive, but often erratic, very broad-minded and imaginative, but also likely to be somewhat impractical and perhaps lacking in common sense. The Aquarius Moon is able to analyze others, but often lacks true emotional understanding. Moon in Aquarius can be comfortable for Sun Signs Aquarius, Sagittarius, Aries, Libra, and Gemini; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Leo, Scorpio, and Taurus. Most astrologers agree that the Pisces Moon is the most psychic of all, neither analytical nor critical. A Pisces Moon generates affection and understanding for all people; is tremendously unselfish, trusting and open-handed. Moon in Pisces can be very comfortable for Sun Signs Pisces, Capricorn, Taurus, Scorpio, and Cancer; not so comfortable for Sun Signs Virgo, Sagittarius, and Gemini. Quite a lot, hey? It's a wonder any of us have the presence of mind to get anything done! See ya 'round, ~Paula

2006 In the Stars--Part 1--January-June

15 January 2006 A Belated Happy New Year To All! I'd like to be able to tell you that 2006 will be an incredibly wonderful year and that we'll all realize our wildest dreams. Unfortunately, the stars are never so gracious. Sometimes they shine on us benevolently and their influence is fantastic. At other times, they beat us like we stole something. But for better or worse, the stars generally set challenges before us with enough help and encouragement to deal with whatever comes our way. We can expect 2006 to be a year of innovations, especially in humanitarian and quite possibly high tech. But hold on to your horses. These innovations may be a little too innovative for many of us and simply beyond our comprehension. Changes could be sudden, unexpected, and bring about some unpleasant side effects or even be based on misguided notions. Watch out during the month of May. We may see a restlessness and impatience to really get things done with an absolute flaunting of conventions. Deceptions and even subversions could be on a wide scale this year. From January through May, our leaders' judgment will likely not be at its best, so expect to see some impractical and behavior--even strange bed fellows. We saw our share of natural disasters in 2005. Unfortunately, we're likely to see more of the same this year. And, on the political/military front, it's not new that there are those who'd force their beliefs on others. This tendency is also likely to continue in 2006. Fortunately, from about mid-end of February, analytical and intellectual abilities should be enhanced to further comprehension of complex issues. Clear-headness will continue to prevail throughout most of March, but with more harshness; and with Mercury's first retrograde (in Pisces) of the year, communications and strict logical thinking could be severely compromised. We'll really need to watch out in April! Most of the month, there could be a serious lack of control in aggression as well as attempts to gain power. Let's hope and pray for the best. In general, 2006 will probably not be a good year for self-actualization. Many of us will experience frustrations and restrictions because of pressing responsibilities. This will be especially true from now through early April. Take heart, for the first few days in March, we could experience a little respite with new focus of energies in creative outlets--worthwhile to take advantage! Finally, taking a look at the economy--a subject that hangs over everyone's head--2006 should generally be a good year for economic development. This doesn't mean that we can all expect to win the Lotto or get a big fat inheritance; rather, growth and expansion should be on the horizon. But, before you get your hopes up, from year's beginning through the first few days of May, economic polities are likely to be out whack; and those who deserve to benefit may find that they've gotten the short end of the stick. On the other hand, from April through June we could experience some real economic benefits as a result of new and innovative ideas. What can we do? With the stars it's always give and take. Onward and Upward, ~Paula Gaon Next Post: MoonTrekking, Moon's influences in the course of a month
